Thursday Meet #4 Away at Rivermoore Park Information
Swim Team Parents - each away meet has a different layout and HOA rules, so please read carefully.
*If you need to pick up ribbons from the previous meets, the ribbon boxes will be at CE worker check in table until the start of the meet.*
The CE vs. Rivermoore meet is scheduled for Thursday, June 20th at 6pm at Rivermoore Park. Please note that make up day is Friday, June 21st at 6pm.
ADDRESS & PARKING
The Rivermoore Park pool is located at 4720 Meadow Park Lane, Suwanee, GA 30024. There is a parking lot. When the lot is full, families may park on adjacent streets. Parking is only permitted on one side of the street, and it will be marked accordingly. Do not park along the traffic circle or near the exits of the traffic circle. Please do not block a driveway or park directly across from a driveway such that a neighbor would have difficulty pulling out of their home.
A Gwinnett County police officer is hired to monitor safety in our neighborhood, so it is possible that cars parked incorrectly will be towed.
ARRIVAL
With the exception of coaches and Board Members, Rivermoore asks that parents, swimmers and spectators not enter the pool area until 4:30pm. Per Rivermoore HOA agreement, they need to keep the pool deck mostly clear until then so the lifeguards can complete their pre-meet responsibilities. CE team area is accessible without entering the pool deck, so families are welcome to settle in there prior to then 4:30. Please arrive by 5:10 for for 5:30 warm ups.
TEAM AREA
The Chateau Elan swim team area is just outside the fence. Bring bug spray and sunscreen.
PARENTS/SPECTATORS AREA
Visitor seating is the side of the pool closest to the clubhouse. The pool deck does get a decent amount of sun so feel free to bring umbrellas for the sunny first half of the meet.
POOL
Rivermoore has a zero entry area of the pool that will not be used for the swim meet. However, it will be blocked off and Rivermoore asks that parents please be sure to keep little ones (and all swimmers) out of this area. Per GCSL rules, only athletes from the two teams will be allowed in the pool and only at their designated times.
HEAT SHEETS
Please find the attached Meet Program (Heat Sheet) and entry report. They have also published the heat sheet to MeetMobile for those families who use this app. Since Rivermoore is providing the heat sheets electronically at no charge, they will only have a few heat sheets available at our at our concessions table inside the clubhouse. They will cost $2.
INCLEMENT WEATHER
In case of bad weather we ask that your swimmers, families, volunteers and spectators go to their cars. Make up day is Friday, June 21.
CONCESSIONS
The concession area sells Walking Tacos, Riverside Pizza, Chick Fil A, hot dogs, nachos and the usual assortment of drinks, chips, candy, and other snacks.
SCORING TABLE & RESULTS
The scoring table is located at the top of our clubhouse and there will also be a table for volunteers to work on ribbons. No swimmer or family member should enter the clubhouse. The results will be posted on the windows of the clubhouse right outside the bathroom downstairs.
PINK OUT NIGHT!
During Thursday’s meet, everything is PINK to raise money to fight cancer! Since breast cancer has personally impacted many in our community, Rivermoore decided to have a PINK OUT to honor them and raise money to fight ALL cancer! Rivermoore invites everyone from Chateau Elan to join them as they have a great time raising money for Swim Across America, a charity which raises money directly for research at the Aflac Cancer Center at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta to stop this dreaded disease. Our hope is that you will consider using the money usually spent on a heat sheet (or more) to participate in one of our great opportunities to be PINK!
