Parents and swimmers,

On Thursday evening, May 25, we will have our first meet at the Chateau Elan pool. We will be competing against the Thunderbolts.  The meet will start at 6:00 PM. We will conduct our team warmups starting at 4:50 PM. We will warm up by age group starting with the 6-unders.

The deadline to submit your intentions to participate in the meet, and for your event requests, is Monday, May 22, at 10:00 PM.  Typically the deadline will be 4:00 PM on the Monday before the meet for that week. We are extending it this week since it is our first meet.

Swimmers may compete in up to 3 individual events. The league does limit team entries however, in the long free (50 free for 10 and unders, 100 free for 11 and overs), 100 Individual Medley (IM), breaststroke, and butterfly. Our pool has 6 lanes so we are limited to 6 team entries in each of the aforementioned events. When we swim at a larger pool (Hamilton Mill and Edgewater) we will be allowed 8 team entries in those events. We are allowed virtually unlimited entries in the backstroke and short free events. 

We have opened up the option to select events for this meet. We cannot guarantee that your swimmer will be able to swim all three of their selections. We may to to shift some swimmers around in order to fill some events and prevent too many entries in other events. If you choose not to select events, the coaches will place your swimmer in events. Just make sure you declare your intention (available or not available).

There are two events for 6 and unders (short free and back). A 6-under may also participate in the 8-under long free, breaststroke, butterfly and relays.

The coaches will handle all relay entries. Swimmers may swim up to 2 relays

Free Relays (9 and over)

We are looking forward to a great first meet. The Thunderbolt meet is always competitive and exciting. Last year our team and the Bolts placed in the top 4 at County
