Psych Sheet for this week's meet versus the BO:LTS

    Parents and swimmers,

The psych sheet for this week's meet is attached.  Heat sheets will also be sent out soon.  The first meet is always the most challenging when it comes to entering swimmers because so many are new to the team.  Your child may have been placed in an event that they are not yet comfortable to swim.  Please encourage them to try the event, but it is ok if they skip the event if you feel that they are not yet ready to attempt.

We ask that all swimmers participating in relays be in the staging area when we start to line up relays.  It is most difficult and frustrating to search for swimmers that are scheduled to participate in a relay and they are not in the staging area.  Please help us with this issue.  Relays will change over the course of the season.  The first meet is difficult when we do not yet have times on many of the swimmers.  The seed times you see in the heat sheet and psych sheet are from last year. Once times are established, relays will be determined objectively by times.

We are looking forward to the first meet.  We hope everyone has a great experience.  We ask that parents keep things in perspective.  The sport of swimming is a journey.  Enjoy the experience with your swimmer.  Please don't put a great deal of pressure on them and show disappointment if they don't swim to your expectations.  Encouragement will go a long way in helping to develop a healthy mindset.

Thanks to everyone for their support!
