Wahoos @ Manta Rays - Meet Information

    Good Morning Wahoo Families!  We're looking forward to our away dual meet tomorrow vs Morningview Manta Rays!  The home team has provided information regarding their pool, parking, concessions, etc.  PLEASE PAY SPECIAL ATTENTION TO THE PARKING COMMENTS!  Also, if you have not signed up for your required volunteer shifts, please look at tomorrow's available opportunities as we are severely short.

    Hi Chateau Elan, We are looking forward to the meet this Thursday! Our usual meet information is below, but we had some bad experiences with the visiting team in the past—parking on yellow curbs, blocking driveways, blocking emergency access, parking on grass, etc.  Please, please stress to your families how important it is to follow our parking procedures.

    Parking: As always, parking is an issue and we encourage carpooling. There is a new trail head parking across the street and to the right of our pool. There are 25 spaces there that we can use. Please observe our parking guidelines. Cars cannot park on the grass in the parking lot area or across the street from the clubhouse (these are private properties and not part of MorningView – the homeowners have been known to tow. Parents can drop their swimmers off at the clubhouse where they can enter through the gates and proceed to the visitor’s bullpen area which will be to the left and rear of the clubhouse by the splash area. As usual, please ask your swimmers not to play on the splash equipment or in the kiddie pool. Overflow parking is available in the following area: turn right out of the clubhouse parking lot onto Westbrook Road, turn right at Ridge Road, and take the first right at Morning Mist Walk (Havenwood neighborhood). Parking is allowed on one side of the street as marked. The police do patrol during swim meets and may ticket or tow cars that are not parked within our lot or in the overflow parking area in Havenwood. 


    Arrival: Your warm up time is from 5:25 - 5:50. 


    Heat sheets will be provided digitally (attached). 


    Visitor seating for spectators will be to the left of the main aisle as you enter the pool (near concessions) and to the left of the lifeguard stand on the main level. Please make sure to leave clear paths to the stairs and for pool access. 


    Concessions: We offer Cooley's pizza, nachos, drinks, and of course, plenty of candy. Cash Only! We are also selling Burgers and Hot Dogs for our Charity Night! All proceeds from the burgers and dogs will go to benefit Autism Spectrum.

    For heat winners we give out "Manta Money" which is good for 50 cents at the concession/candy stand. 

    Scoring: This will take place in the Children's Wing of the clubhouse located behind the home team seating area at the top of the pool deck to the right when you enter the pool. This is also where times will be posted. The scoring room is available to council persons, coaches, officials, and scoring volunteers only please. 
    Officials and Timing: The timing and officials meeting will be held at 5:40 near our starter's tent. Our Head Official is Dely Anthony. We will announce the meeting, please be sure that timers and judges for both shifts attend the meeting.


    Inclement weather: In the event the meet is delayed for weather, please let your parents know not to congregate under the pavilion at the entrance. They should head to their cars and we'll let them know when to come back to finish up the meet.
