GCSL Top Times Attached and County Info

The top times for week #5 for the Gwinnett County Swim League are attached.

The top 50 in each individual event qualify for the County Championship Meet which will be held the July 12-14. There are 5 sessions conducted during the County Meet. The 15-18's compete on Friday, 9-10's compete Saturday morning, 13-14's compete Saturday afternoon, 8-unders compete Sunday morning, and the 11-12's compete Sunday afternoon. We will only allowed to enter 1 relay per event. We will use the top times to determine relays for County. We will also look at consistency. Thanks for your understanding.

If your swimmer is ranked in the top 100 then we encourage them to train next week.  We will submit entries by Monday evening and we will find out which swimmers make it into the County Meet by next weekend.  Please declare your intentions for the county meet and choose the 3 individual events that you would like to compete in.

We will practice Mon-Wed next week (no practice July 4-5), and Mon-Thurs the following week (July 8-11).  We will run our normal 8-9 and 9-10 am workouts.  We will not run the 10-10:30 group.  Any swimmer in the top 100 that normally swims from 10-10:30 am should attend practice from 9-9:30 am.

The Mini-Wahoos lessons are completed.  Thanks for Coaches Bailey, Gabe, Ryan, Adam, Jordan, and Heidi for working so incredibly hard with these young aspiring swimmers!!!!

If you are currently in the top 100, then you have a chance of qualifying. Obviously if you are in the top 50 you will qualify. We hope to have a great turnout for the County Meet. The meet is held at Georgia Tech. The Georgia Tech Aquatic Center was used for the Aquatic events during the 1996 Olympic Games!

The coaches are extremely proud of all of the swimmers for their outstanding effort this season! We are especially proud of them for their outstanding sportsmanship! The swimmers are extremely coachable and respectful of both the coaches and their teammates! We thank all of the parents for their incredible support!

    Thanks,

    Coach Rick
