Time Trial Meet Results attached

`The results of last night's meet is attached.  Thanks to all of the parents that volunteered last night.  It takes a great deal of parent support to run a swim meet.  A special thanks to the board and officials.  Please don't get discouraged if your swimmer was disqualified in events last night.  DQ's are a learning experience.  We will work hard on starts, turns, and finishes next week in preparation for our first dual meet at Hamilton Mill.  The most common disqualification was for backstrokers turning over onto their stomach before touching the wall.  This is easy to correct.  Other common DQ's are for illegal kicks, especially breaststroke, which takes time to learn the coordination of the legs.

Please declare your intentions for participation in next week's meet at Hamilton Mill.  You may also choose your individual events.  Swimmers are allowed to swim up to 3 individual events and 2 relays in a dual meet.  Coaches will determine relays.  We will have unlimited entries in the backstroke and short free events.  The long free, IM, breaststroke and butterfly events will be limited to 8 swimmers per age group.  If your swimmer is new to the sport, then we encourage you to enter them in the back and short free and then perhaps another event that they might be ready to swim.  A swimmer is not required to participate in 3 individual events.  The 6-unders should attempt the back and short free events.

    Thanks,

    Coach Rick
