Just a few reminders about the make up meet this Monday night.  We will pick up where we left off with heat four of the 9-10 girls 25 free. We will not be conducting the free relays on Monday night. We hope that we get a good turnout on Monday and that the weather cooperates. Unfortunately, we are not allowed to add any swimmers to the Monday night make up meet that were not entered in the original meet.  This is a league rule.  Since we are not doing relays on Monday night, parents do not need to notify us if their Swimmer(s) will not be available on Monday night. We greatly appreciate all the families that stuck out the weather delay on Thursday. We assure each and every family that we will always look out for the safety of the swimmers and never put them in jeopardy when it comes to weather situations. 

We have a home meet scheduled for this upcoming Thursday against Morning View. The deadline for your intentions on this Thursday night’s meet is Tuesday afternoon at 2 PM. The reason behind the 2 PM deadline is to allow time for necessary adjustment along with relay entries to be able to meet the 6 PM deadline in order for us to meet the league 6 PM entry deadline. We ask that every family, please declare their intentions and select events for their Swimmers. 

We would also like to point out to families that a Swimmer must participate in at least two dual meets in order to be able to participate in the county championship swim meet.  The time from me does not count as one of the two meets. Also, please make sure that if you live outside of Gwinnett County that you do not participate in a summer league meet, not affiliated with the Gwinnett Swim League. 

We are currently planning on having a fun Tuesday after Monday night’s meet and then a fun Friday after Thursday night’s meet. 

During this Thursday night’s meet, we will be running heats for the mini Wahoos that would like to attempt to swim the length of the pool with coaches in the water. This will occur around 5:50 PM before the meet begins at 6 PM. We will also recognize our senior swimmers that are swimming for their last season. We have three seniors that graduated this year: Blake, Gabe, and David. 

A special thanks goes out to Mr. Eric Estrada for administrating aid to one of our swimmers that fainted and fell to the ground after team pictures. We’re very happy to say that she is doing well and should be returning to practice this upcoming week.

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank all of our assistant coaches for their hard work and dedication to the swimmers. These assistant coaches are Owen, Ryan, Gabe, Bria, Emma, and Maddie!
